SolSource Brings Solar Cooking to Earth Day Texas

On April 22-24, an expected 50,000-75,000 attendees will have the opportunity to see SolSource Solar Stove in action during the world’s largest Earth Day celebration in Dallas, Texas. Every day at noon, participants will sample delicious solarcooked foods prepared with the help of restaurant chefs as they discover just how easy it is to harness the power of solar cooking in their own homes. Earth Day Texas provides a unique and admission-free opportunity for people to experience for themselves the beautiful design and craftsmanship that makes SolSource the best solar stove available today.
In addition to the live solar cooking demonstrations, One Earth Designs’ COO Guro Grytli Seim will be a special guest speaker at Earth Day Texas. On Saturday, April 23 at 2:30PM, join us at the Esplanade stage to hear Ms. Seim speak about the many ways that solar cooking creates real positive impact in the world. In her own words, “Solar cooking is not only about fighting climate change— it is also about the enjoyment of life, and reconnecting with nature.” Ms. Seim holds a master’s degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and has received numerous awards and significant recognition for her work within the solar industry. Ms. Seim’s speech at 2:30 on Saturday and the daily 12:00PM SolSource solar cookouts will be free and open to the public, as well as streamed live on Facebook Live. Those who cannot personally attend the event are encouraged to participate online.
